Mistreatment Towards Natives Is the proper ethic of first come, first served used in society? Or does the one with the greater power usually get what they want? In The Tempest written by William Shakespeare, a native to the island by the name of Caliban is overruled by the indite Duke of Milan Prospero. He is accused by Prospero for attempting to smash Miranda when Prospero states In mine own cell, till thou didst seek to violate/ the honour of my child. (I, ii 347-348) Prospero says this in anger and uses it as a reason for his mistreatment of Caliban. Caliban whom admits to his sins says O ho, O ho! Wouldt had been through and through with(p)!
