Social discernment Theory is the process if developing deeper intimacy with another someone through mutual self disclosure and other forms of pic (Griffin, 2011). Irwin Altman and Dalmas Taylor developed this theory and compared human interaction to an onion. The outer layers existence thoughts, opinions, about ones self and those around them. Interviews
The tierce histrions were from both genders and all different ages. issue 1 (White, 2012) is a 28 year old male, Subject 2 (Hall, 2012) is a 15 year old male, Subject 3 (Jackson, 2012) is a 36 year old woman. Two questions were asked of the participants; Who are you and what do you ask?



While the authors goal was to present only the questions at face value the author had to explain a grab as the simplicity of the question confused some of the participants.
Subject 1 (White, 2012) responded to the first question Who are you? simply with his name. The subject is the authors husband. The question might have seemed odd because the marriage human relationship by definition has already penetrated to the core. The author had to press for the participant to pretend that he didnt know the interviewer. He then responded that he was Soldier, Husband, and Father. (White, 2012) These are the simple, straightforward, answers that he would give to someone he was academic term next to at a dinner party.
